It's summer in upstate New York.
Summer weather here is just like New England's before it gets there. One hour it can be hot as a firecracker, next hour drop 30 degrees, rain, hail and blow down half a dozen trees, then thirty minutes later turn around 180 degrees and blow them back up from the opposite direction.
Winter is about the same, only frozen.
The trees have gotten so used to it they don't bother to go down any more. They have been educated so to speak and see little profit in falling down in the first place. They just stand their ground and wait for winter to show up to be frozen in place......which could be as soon as tomorrow.
