Republican Congressional Leader Eric Cantor graced us with his presence at a news conference today to plead for support for stopping violence against women, providing the legislation meets his undisclosed prerequisites of course. Apparently he has been chosen as the Republican spokesman for the party on this issue.
Not the smartest choice considering Cantor's track record on women's rights. Sort of like designating Joseph Goebbels (German Propaganda Minister during WWII) to speak on behalf of Nazi compassion for the European Jews.
Appears someone in the Republican Party just discovered that about 90 or so years ago Congress gave women the right to vote and he (the women have known this all along) just figured out that they aren't voting Republican. In another 90 years they'll discover that Cantor was not the person to send to make nicey- nice with the girls either.
